Training : EQUIPMENTS

PROTECTIVE CLOTHES :

Due to the nature of ATV driving, it is essential to wear protective gear. Even though complete protection is obviously not possible, knowing what and how to wear protective gear helps you to be more comfortable and reduces the risks of injuries.

HELMETS :

Your helmet is the most important protection when you drive. IT can prevent a serious head injury. Glasses and a face visor will protect your eyes from dust and small objects. When buying a protective helment, you mut make sure that it fits with the following standards :

The Association canadienne de normalisation, Canadian Standardization Association (ACN D 230A)
The Snell Memorial Foundation
The United States Department of Transportation (D.O.T.)
The American National Standards Institute (A.N.S.I. z90.1)

For minimal protection, the driver must at least wear a long sleeves shirt or a jersey and pants. The off-road clothing, like the kneepads pants and the shoulder pads give a bigger protection. Good gloves will also protect your hands from cold or if you fall. For the feet, a pair of knee boots is the best protection to prevent your feet from falling off the footrest.
